Visit Port Care
Port Care Pediatrics was created with a simple vision: to provide children and families with exceptional pediatric care in a warm, personal setting where they feel known, heard, and supported.
Port Care Pediatrics was founded and is owned by Christine Zahler, CPNP, a board-certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and Port Washington resident. She is joined by Kristin Gullo, CPNP, a board-certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner on the Port Care clinical team.
At Port Care Pediatrics, families can expect evidence-based medical care along with the accessibility and personal attention of a small, independently owned practice. We want parents to feel comfortable asking questions, children to feel safe walking through our doors, and families to know that the people caring for their children truly know them.
We believe pediatric care is built over time—through trust, thoughtful questions, and genuine partnership.
We follow your child’s development over time and consider their health in the context of your family.
We make room for questions, concerns, and the details that help families feel understood.
We pair current, evidence-based medicine with clear education, prevention, and practical guidance.

Christine and Kristin bring a unique perspective to pediatric primary care. Their training combines advanced medical education with the nursing model of care—a foundation that places particular emphasis on listening, education, prevention, and caring for the whole child.
That philosophy shapes the way we practice at Port Care. Pediatric care is about more than diagnosing an illness or completing an annual physical. It is about knowing your child, understanding your family’s concerns, answering your questions, and building a relationship based on trust.

For Christine, opening Port Care Pediatrics felt like coming home—to the community where she lives and to the families she has cared for over many years.
