Good Faith Estimate

Information for patients who are uninsured or choose not to use insurance.

Ask before scheduled care

If you are uninsured or self-pay, ask Port Care Pediatrics for a written Good Faith Estimate when scheduling care or before receiving scheduled services. The practice’s billing workflow and contact must be confirmed before public launch.

If a bill is substantially higher

If the final bill is at least $400 more than the Good Faith Estimate from a provider or facility, you may be able to dispute it through the federal patient-provider dispute resolution process.

Keep your estimate

Save a copy or photograph of your written estimate and related bills. The estimate is not a contract and may not include unexpected services that become reasonably necessary.
